HOTEL ART (KAIROS – UGT d.o.o.) has implemented the necessary measures to bring the protection of your personal data in line with the requirements set by the General Data Protection Regulation. We have reduced the amount of personal data we collect from you, so that we collect only the data that we are obliged by law or other regulation or which are necessary for the performance of our service. We process any other data that would not meet these two criteria only if you give us your explicit consent. In the continuation of this document you can find out all about the processing of your personal data.

HOTEL ART (KAIROS – UGT d.o.o.) is in charge of processing your personal data. All information on the processing of personal data can be obtained by an inquiry at our reception or by sending an inquiry to the email address: with the subject line “Processing of personal data".

The purpose of processing your personal information is the provision of our accommodation services and other catering services. In accordance with the Sojourn Tax Act and the Ordinance on the manner of keeping the tourist list and on the form and content of the tourist registration form for the Tourist Board (hereinafter: the Ordinance), we are obliged to collect from you: surname and name, place, country and date of birth, citizenship, type and number of residence document (identity card or passport), residence and address, date and time of arrival at the facility, estimated date of departure from the facility, your gender, tax number – OIB (personal identification number). We also need some of this information to issue invoices.
In addition to this information, at the time of booking the accommodation we collect your contact phone number and / or contact email, if you have provided it to us, and we keep it until the end of your stay with us. If you want us to stay in touch after your leave, you can give us consent on a special form to collect and process your contact email and phone number. In addition to this data; we also collect video surveillance data for the purpose of protecting our property, your safety and the safety of other guests.

The legal basis for the collection of personal data is the execution of our legal obligations under the Sojourn Tax Act, the Accounting Act, the Value Added Tax Act, and other regulations in the field of tourism, consumer protection and accounting. Also, the legal basis is to satisfy our legitimate interests in the protection of our space, our workers and other customers and the collection of our receivables.

The retention period of your personal data that we collect in order to fulfil the obligations from the Ordinance is 3 years, and the data important for issuing invoices in accordance with the Accounting Act is 11 years. We store your contact information as long as there is a need to perform the purpose for which we collected it. If any data is collected on the basis of consent, we keep such personal data permanently, that is until you withdraw your consent.

  1. a) right of access: you have the right to receive confirmation whether we process personal data relating to you and, if such personal data is processed, access to personal data and the following information: purpose of processing, categories of personal data concerned, recipients to whom the personal data is disclosed to and the retention period;
  2. b) the right of correction: you have the right to obtain the correction of incorrect personal data relating to you;
  3. c) right to erasure: you have the right to request the erasure of personal data relating to you, which will be deleted if the legal conditions are met, or, if the conditions are not met, you will be notified why the data cannot be deleted;
  4. d) the right to a restriction on processing: you have the right to obtain a restriction on processing if the preconditions defined by the General Data Protection Regulation in Article 18 are met.;
  5. e) the right to data portability: You have the right to receive personal data relating to you, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transfer this data to another controller;
  6. f) the right to object: You have right, at any time, to object to the processing of personal data relating to you to us or the competent supervisory authority. The complaint is submitted via e-mail to;
  7. g) you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including the creation of a profile, which produces legal effects that concern you or in a similar way significantly affect you.

Necessity of providing personal data: given the legal obligation to collect personal data sent to the Tourist Board, the data we collect from you is necessary in order for us to perform our service. In the event that we do not collect this information we would be committing an offense, so if you refuse to provide your personal information, we will have to refuse to provide the service. Personal data for which we have a legitimate interest in collecting: surveillance camera footage, also cannot be refused. The personal data that you are not obliged to provide is your contact information and you have the right to refuse to provide a telephone number or email address.
